You do not need an account. The app creates a random anonymous ID on your device. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number.
Your learning progress, settings, exam date and letter drafts are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes this data. You can also reset it in Settings.
Some features use artificial intelligence (AI). Only when you use them, the following is sent with the task and your anonymous ID to our server and processed by our AI provider, Anthropic PBC (USA):
We do not use these texts for advertising and we do not sell them. Our own server does not store them after the response. Anthropic processes them as our processor under a data processing agreement; it does not use API data to train its models and deletes it after a short period, except where it must keep flagged content longer to enforce its usage policies (see Anthropic's privacy and data-retention information). The transfer to the USA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses included in that agreement (Art. 46 GDPR). Please do not write real personal data (for example your real address or ID numbers) into practice texts.
The AI examiner and partner are computer programs, not people. AI scores are estimates and may contain mistakes.
Speaking exercises use the speech recognition of your device's operating system (Apple on iPhone, Google on Android, or your browser on the web). Depending on your device settings, this provider may process the audio on the device or on its servers under its own privacy policy. The app itself does not record, store or upload audio files.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We use RevenueCat, Inc. (USA) to manage subscription status; it receives the anonymous ID and purchase information under its data processing agreement and the Standard Contractual Clauses. We never see your payment card details.
If you buy on our website, payment is processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland, and its affiliates). Stripe receives your e-mail address, payment data and country to process the payment, prevent fraud and charge VAT, under its own privacy policy and as merchant of record where applicable. We receive your e-mail address, the purchase and the subscription status, which we keep as long as legally required for accounting (up to 7 years). Cancellations sent on our cancellation page (name, e-mail, Pro code) are stored to process and confirm them.
We process data to provide the features you use (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for rate limits, logs and abuse prevention, on the basis of our legitimate interest in a secure, fairly usable service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Usage counters are kept for at most 12 months; server logs for at most 30 days.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict processing of your data, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Because we do not know who you are, please include your anonymous ID (Settings) when you contact us. You can complain to a data protection authority, for example the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (lead authority) or the authority where you live.
The app is intended for people aged 16 and older preparing for the DTZ exam.
